When a remote doesn't work then one of the first things people understandably do is change the battery but the car wasn't recognising the fob signal before and it definitely doesn't recognise the new stronger signal The car gives a warning if the key fob battery power is getting low provided it's not stone dead

When i purchased the stilo i was only given 1 key due to the second being lost, how do i get a new key reprogrammed for my car without going to dealer, i have purchased a key and getting a new blank made at my local keyfacts. cheers john
Just thought I would let people know about my wife's 52 plate 1.6 Stilo. About 3 months ago both remote key fobs started playing up and within a week both stopped working..You could only lock the car and immobilize it with the key. Then BANG suddenly both fobs started to work today, remote
Hi FF, A month ago i traded my punto mk2 for a 2007 stilo with the 8v jtd. Ever since i got it, the only key it came with had a ridiculous short range, i had to be within 1-2 meters of the car for the doors to open/close and the window open/closing feature would often stop halfway.

Any ideas? Central locking works fine on the key fob both locking and unlocking, can lock the doors using the switch by the electric window switches but cannot unlock the doors using that switch. Bit annoying as I have activated speedlock but the only way to unlock the doors from inside the Dec 25, 2021. #9. Keys marked locked is normal for any key that are in the system that aren't all presented to the system during the programming. Say you have two keys and when you run the software you only add one key. that key will work but the other will be locked. Assuming they were stolen.
if the key fob plastic is broken but not the internals ( if you still have the key) a locksmith can supply a new key fob and install your existing internals in the new case with out need a program key fobs are available new from a locksmith or e-bay and the cost will be to have the key cut to the old key plus the cost of the shell
