Shaking/vibration when accelerating. For a while now my ST shakes/vibrates when the turbo kicks in. I haven't noticed any loss of power just the shaking. The garage reckon the turbo needs replacing, quoted £1100! I find it hard to believe that a fault with the turbo would cause the car to shake without losing power.

The cat efficiency code isn't being caused by the upstream sensor, but the downstream. The fact you've got a CVF catted DP is what's causing the rear O2 sensor to throw the code. Get a straight defouler and install it with the medium orifice, then thread the rear O2 sensor into it. That'll stop the P0420 code.

In those 10 months/21k miles, the car has been very reliable. I did the initial oil change at 1,500 miles and I have done it every 5,000 miles after that. Keep up on your normal maintenance (fluids, tire rotations, etc.) and she should treat you right. S.
