Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PC) How can i get a Punkbuster? I want to access a multiplayer room but when i try to enter one it says the host has a punkbuster and i need one, how can i get one, my P.C says 'error, punkbuster inactive, turned off.
Download PunkBuster Setup (PBSetup). Double-click on the downloaded file. Extract it when you’re asked to. Run the extracted file and agree to the license terms. When PunkBuster opens, click Add a Game, and choose your game from the dropdown menu: PunkBuster should auto-detect the game’s installation folder. Scroll down to the one named "PnkBstrA" and right click it and choose properties. Change the startup type to Automatic then click Apply and OK. Now right click "PnkBstrA" again and click Restart. You're done for this bit. Now load up COD4 multiplayer and go to options on the main menu.

What you just said is the issue Call of duty 4 is not showing up on the game list There for we can't add it. Doesn't matter, just download PBSetup.exe, it is in there. COD4 is not in ver. 3.7. I have the same issue, getting kicked due to PB init failure.
